In a study of nearly 2 million individuals with an average age of 53 years, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, those that achieved the recommended 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of high-intensity exercise weekly had 11% lower risk of COVID-19 infection, 34% lower risk of severe illness (including intensive care unit admission or ventilation use), 36% lower risk of hospitalization and 43% lower risk of death. Exercise and being active are great medicine!
