Part-Time Physical Therapist

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical disabilities or injuries. Your primary goal will be to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability using therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories and physical conditions to develop personalized treatment plans.

  • Perform physical examinations to assess patients' strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, and mobility.

  • Develop and implement effective treatment programs based on clinical findings and goals established in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.

  • Administer various therapeutic techniques, including exercise programs, manual therapy, modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation), and assistive devices.

  • Monitor patients' progress, reassessing and adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania.

  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in physical therapy.

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency in using relevant technology and software for documentation and communication purposes.

Benefits:

Paid holidays for normally scheduled work days.  Paid time off is provided pro-rated based on the number of hours worked, and paid jury duty and bereavement are also provided.
